Hello Potential Member:

We want you on our team! The time is now for our industry to stand together to support our sport, hobby, and business.

Membership in numbers will make us much stronger on the political front. Would you like your customers to have more areas to ride that would translate into sales? Have you lost revenue because potential buyers have purchased out of state? Are you concerned about another dealer opening up in your area?

The members of the NCMDA feel strongly about these issues. By banding together and with the help of legislators we can protect our interest in our state. NCMDA promotes and encourages a sprit of cooperation and friendly competition among our members. The NCMDA is here to help with all aspects of the power sports business in North Carolina.

  • Constant information to members through email and mailings.
  • Advertisements and money saving opportunities for members through our sponsors.
  • Representation at our state legislature by sitting in on key bills.
  • One on one communication with supportive legislators.
  • We watch bills at the national level in Washington to make our voice heard.
  • NCMDA.com will keep members informed with a membership list, important links, and advertisements from our sponsors, tax information, important bills, and much more.

NCMDA has a winter meeting and sometimes a summer meeting. The meetings have key industry speakers and are filled with information to help you be successful. It is a great time to learn and visit with fellow members. You will not leave this meeting without taking valuable information with you. NCMDA accomplishments:

  • Succeeded in changing the insurance guidelines in North Carolina, which in turn brought about reduced insurance premiums. All dealers and consumers have benefited tremendously from this change.
  • ATV age limit 8 years old instead of 12 years old for 50 cc.
  • Moped speed limit 30 mph from 20 mph and pedals no longer required.
  • Franchise laws to keep the same brand not opening within your market.
  • Bill 64 passed but not fully as written, which would have made anyone without a motorcycle endorsement take a riders course to receive a license.

Please join the NCMDA so that together we can continue to make positive changes for our industry. Fill out the application and send in your check. Please call or email with your concerns or suggestions.

Sincerely,

Chris Brewer
President NCMDA
